South Carolina death certificates, birth certificates and marriage certificates (1950-2023) are available from the South Carolina Department of Public Health (Division of Vital Records). Certified records can be ordered by mail or online from GoCertificates (birth and death records) and VitalChek.

Certified marriage records for marriages occurring before 1950 or since 2023 may be obtained from the Probate court where the marriage licence was issued.

Certified copies of South Carolina Divorce Reports (1962 -2023) are available from the South Carolina Department of Public Health (Division of Vital Records). Certified records can be ordered by mail or online - certified records are only available to the divorced parties, their adult children or current/former spouse of one of the divorced parties.

Certified reports of divorces decreed before 1962 and after December 2023 may be obtained from the Probate Court in the county where the divorce was filed.

Certified copies of divorce decrees may be obtained the clerk of the court in the county where the divorce was decreed.
